5.0 magnitude earthquake rattles close to Bitung, Indonesia on April 1

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Bitung on Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 23:00 UTC (08:00 local time). The epicenter was approximately 113 km east of Bitung, at a depth of 35 km.
