Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded near Vilyuchinsk, Russia on July 31

Thursday afternoon, a 5.0 magnitude quake was registered near Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor rattled the area at 04:08 UTC (15:08 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated about 179 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
