An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:02 p.m. for snow showers and gusty winds until 3 p.m. The alert is for Northern Oneida, Southern Cayuga and Southern Oneida as well as Yates, Seneca, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome and Delaware counties.

“Gusty west-northwesterly winds with snow showers will briefly reduce visibilities down to a half mile or less at times for the next few hours. Use caution if you must travel; rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents,” says the NWS.
