The Waterloo Black Hawks claimed a single- win in a game against the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Sunday, April 05, 2025.
The team won 4-3 at Trinity Health Arena.
Waterloo’s Kaeden Hawkins scored the game-winning goal.
The Black Hawks opened strong, at the beginning of the game with Brock Schultz scoring in the first period.
The Lumberjacks tied it up 1-1 in the first period when Ivan Ryabkin scored, assisted by David Deputy.
The Lumberjacks’ Ivan Ryabkin took the lead halfway through the first period, assisted by David Deputy and Tynan Lawrence.
The Black Hawks scored two goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.
David Klee tied the game 3-3 with a goal in the middle of the third period, assisted by Finn Mclaughlin and Vaclav Nestrasil.
Just less than a minute later Kaeden Hawkins scored, assisted by Brendan Mcmorrow and Grady Deering, and decided the game.
