Team USA won its game at USA Hockey Arena against the Waterloo Black Hawks on Saturday, April 04, 2025, ending 5-1.
The first period was scoreless, and in the middle of the second period, the Team USA took the lead when Sammy Nelson scored assisted by LJ Mooney.
Midway through, Landon Hafele scored a goal, making the score 2-0.
The Team USA made it 3-0 with a goal from Cole Mckinney.
Teddy Mutryn then tallied a goal late, making the score 4-0. Drew Schock IV and Sammy Nelson assisted.
The Black Hawks narrowed the gap to 4-1 early in the third period when Brock Schultz scored, assisted by Dylan Compton.
Will Moore made it 5-1 with a goal two minutes later, assisted by LJ Mooney and Cole Mckinney.
The Team USA were called for 12 penalties, while the Black Hawks received nine penalties.
