Update: Seismic activity on July 6 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake close to Dompu, Indonesia detected

DOMPU REGENCY, West Nusa Tenggara — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake struck close to Dompu Sunday morning.

A tremor jolted the area at 22:38 UTC (06:38 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated approximately 15 km west of Dompu and occurred at a depth of 133 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later downgraded it to 5.0.
