Update: 5.2 magnitude earthquake reported close to Lorengau, Papua New Guinea on July 8

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake hit close to Lorengau around midnight Tuesday.

The tremor struck the area at 14:38 UTC (00:38 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located approximately 122 km south of Lorengau.
