Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 hits area close to Pariaman, Indonesia on July 17

A 5.2 magnitude quake was reported near Pariaman Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the region at 19:02 UTC (02:02 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 113 km west-northwest of Pariaman and occurred at a depth of 60 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later downgraded to 5.2.
