FRESNO COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a preliminary 2.2 magnitude quake struck near Toms Place on Sunday around midday.

The tremor shook the area at 1:28 p.m. It occurred at a depth of 5 miles with the epicenter situated roughly 11 miles west-southwest of Toms Place.
