FRESNO COUNTY, CA — A preliminary 3.0 magnitude quake was registered near Toms Place around midday Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook at 1:23 p.m., with its epicenter located roughly 11 miles west-southwest of Toms Place and a depth of 5 miles.
