FRESNO COUNTY, CA — A preliminary 2.2 magnitude quake was registered close to Toms Place on Sunday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook the area at 1:28 p.m. It occurred at a depth of 5 miles with the epicenter located approximately 11 miles west-southwest of Toms Place.
