SAN RAFAEL DEL YUMA, La Altagracia Province — A 5.7 magnitude quake was recorded near Boca de Yuma Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 09:23 UTC (05:23 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 168 km, with its epicenter about 38 km southeast of Boca de Yuma.

Moderate shaking has been registered and residents reported feeling the earthquake in a number of cities, such as Luquillo, Fajardo, Naguabo and Humacao according to the USGS DYFI report.
