Update: July 14 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake detected near Masamba, Indonesia

POSO REGENCY, Central Sulawesi — Monday evening, a 5.0 magnitude quake was reported near Masamba, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 12:52 UTC (20:52 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 72 km northeast of Masamba and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
