Update: Seismic activity on July 13 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake near Tatsugō, Japan registered

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake rattled near Tatsugō Sunday evening.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 11:28 UTC (20:28 local time). The epicenter was located about 90 km north of Tatsugō, at a depth of 10 km.

Tremors past week

Over the last week, there have been 14 tremors with a magnitude 2.5 or greater centered nearby. The largest one was a 5.0 earthquake that jolted the same area one day ago.
