INYO COUNTY, CA — Sunday morning, a 4.0 magnitude quake was registered near Olancha, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was reported that a tremor rattled the region at 5:27 a.m. The epicenter was situated roughly 7 miles south-southwest of Olancha, at a depth of just 1 mile.

Those who noticed the earthquake are encouraged to report it through the USGS Felt Report form. The agency has so far received 10 reports via its online form from people who say they felt the quake. Weak to light shaking was observed in Lone Pine, where residents reported experiencing the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
