INYO COUNTY, CA — Sunday morning, a 4.0 magnitude quake was registered close to Olancha, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor struck the area at 5:27 a.m. It occurred at a depth of just 0.27 miles with the epicenter positioned about 8 miles south-southwest of Olancha.

The agency has so far received 10 reports via its online form from people who say they experienced the quake. Weak to light shaking was observed in Lone Pine, where people reported experiencing the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
