Update: July 13 – 4.0 magnitude earthquake detected close to Olancha, CA

INYO COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 4.0 magnitude quake occurred near Olancha Sunday morning.

At 5:27 a.m., the region was rattled by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of just 0.27 miles, with its epicenter approximately 8 miles south-southwest of Olancha.
