Update: Seismic activity on July 13 – 4.0 magnitude earthquake close to Olancha, CA registered

INYO COUNTY, CA — A 4.0 magnitude quake was detected close to Olancha Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted the area at 5:27 a.m. It occurred at a depth of just 0.27 miles with the epicenter positioned about 8 miles south-southwest of Olancha.
