Update: July 12 – 2.2 magnitude earthquake detected close to Weaverville, CA

TRINITY COUNTY, CA — A 2.2 magnitude quake was registered close to Weaverville around midday Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 12:31 p.m. The epicenter was located roughly 14 miles northwest of Weaverville, at a depth of 22 miles.
