2.2 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Weaverville, CA on July 12

TRINITY COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 2.2 magnitude quake shook near Weaverville on Saturday around midday.

A tremor struck the area at 12:31 p.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located roughly 14 miles northwest of Weaverville and occurred at a depth of 22 miles.
