Update: July 11 – 2.4 magnitude earthquake reported close to Ferndale, CA

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA — A preliminary 2.4 magnitude quake was detected near Ferndale Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 11:16 p.m. The epicenter was located approximately 6 miles north-northwest of Ferndale, at a depth of 13 miles.
