A 5.0 magnitude quake struck near The Valley on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 09:22 UTC (05:22 local time). The epicenter was roughly 159 km north-northwest of The Valley, at a depth of 15 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 4.8 event, but later upgraded it to 5.0.

Last week, the area has experienced five quakes of magnitude 2.5 or above. The strongest, a 4.0 magnitude quake, was detected near Cruz Bay on Mar. 28.
