PYIN OO LWIN, Mandalay Region—Friday afternoon, a 5.4 magnitude quake was registered near Shwebo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 09:30 UTC (16:00 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located about 35 km east-northeast of Shwebo.
