According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Bantogon Wednesday morning.
The tremor, which struck the area at 01:41 UTC (09:41 local time), was centered about 20 km west of Bantogon. It occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later upgraded it to 5.4.
