Update: Earthquake measuring 5.4 strikes area near Qarnābād, Iran on July 19

ALIABAD, Golestan Province—A 5.4 magnitude quake was reported close to Qarnābād Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the region at 21:37 UTC (01:07 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located approximately 31 km east of Qarnābād.
