Update: 5.4 magnitude earthquake registered near Qarnābād, Iran on July 19

ALIABAD, Golestan Province—the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Qarnābād Saturday morning.

The tremor hit the area at 21:37 UTC (01:07 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated roughly 31 km east of Qarnābād.
