A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to East Pacific Rise Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A tremor jolted the region at 21:26 UTC (14:26 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated northern of East Pacific Rise and occurred at a depth of 10 km.

Two earthquakes near East Pacific Rise last week
During the past week, the area has experienced two tremors above magnitude 2.5, both centered in the same region. The larger, a 5.6 magnitude event, was reported prior to this quake, while the other, at magnitude 5.4, hit on July 19.
