Update: Earthquake measuring 5.0 jolts area near Ruteng, Indonesia on Aug. 20

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Ruteng on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which struck the region at 07:55 UTC (15:55 local time), was centered about 40 km north-northwest of Ruteng. It occurred at a depth of 16 km.
