EL LOA, Antofagasta — A 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to San Pedro de Atacama on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 08:57 UTC (04:57 local time), was centered approximately 82 km south-southwest of San Pedro de Atacama. It occurred at a depth of 107 km.
