A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Hihifo on Sunday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 05:07 UTC (17:07 local time), a tremor jolted the area at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter approximately 78 km west of Hihifo.
