Seismic activity on Sept. 8: Earthquake close to Ruteng, Indonesia registered – magnitude 5.3

A 5.3 magnitude quake shook near Ruteng on Tuesday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 04:40 UTC (12:40 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter roughly 51 km north-northeast of Ruteng.
