WEST TANNA, Tafea Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Isangel on Thursday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 00:20 UTC (11:20 local time). The epicenter was about 84 km south of Isangel, at a depth of 70 km.
