SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 3.7 magnitude quake occurred near Pinnacles Saturday morning.

At 1:31 a.m., the region was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 7 miles, with its epicenter approximately 3 miles east of Pinnacles.

If you felt the quake, you can report it through the USGS Felt Report form. The agency has received 14 responses on its online form so far, from people reporting they felt the tremor. Weak shaking has been registered and residents reported feeling the earthquake in multiple cities, including Carmel, Seaside and Soledad according to the USGS DYFI report.

Last week, one earthquake with a magnitude 2.5 was detected in the area. It was recorded close to Pinnacles, seven days ago.
