The National Hurricane Center’s 10 p.m. Tuesday update reported that Tropical Storm Hanna is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,230 miles east of Bermuda and 975 miles west-southwest of the Azores. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, is moving to the southeast at 12 mph.

“Gradual weakening is expected during the next couple of days, and Hanna is likely to become a post-tropical cyclone tonight or Thursday,” analysts stated.
