The National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Tuesday update reported that Tropical Storm Hanna is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,120 miles east-northeast of Bermuda and 1,055 miles west of the Azores. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, is moving to the southeast at 12 mph.

“Gradual weakening is expected during the next couple of days, and Hanna is likely to become a post-tropical cyclone by the latter part of this week,” analysts stated.
