The National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Monday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Fay is in the Atlantic Ocean, 430 miles southwest of the Azores. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, is moving south at 5 mph.

“A gradual turn toward the southwest and west-southwest is expected over the next few days,” forecasters observed. They also said “Continued weakening is forecast, and Fay could degenerate to a post-tropical remnant low in a couple of days.”
