Sept. 12: Earthquake measuring 5.1 jolts region near Yudomari, Japan

KUMAGE DISTRICT, Kagoshima — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Yudomari on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 20:32 UTC (05:32 local time), was centered about 101 km south of Yudomari. It occurred at a depth of 46 km.
