A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Dunhuang on Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 17:04 UTC (01:04 local time), a tremor struck the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 273 km south-southeast of Dunhuang. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later downgraded it to 5.1.
