NABIRE REGENCY, Central Papua — Thursday morning, a 5.3 magnitude quake was registered close to Nabire, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted at 22:45 UTC (07:45 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 95 km east-northeast of Nabire and a depth of 10 km.
