Update: Earthquake hits region near Antarctica on Feb. 4 – 5.1 magnitude registered

Wednesday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was reported near Antarctica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 00:30 UTC (08:30 local time), the area was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter of Antarctica.
