According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.6 magnitude quake shook close to San Jose Village Monday morning.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 23:06 UTC (09:06 local time). The epicenter was situated approximately 81 km south-southeast of San Jose Village, at a depth of 97 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.8 but later downgraded to 5.6.
