Northumberland’s real estate scene in October witnessed interesting transactions, notably homes that sold below their initial listing prices.

Among the 279 residential properties changing hands, a select few stood out for their significant price differences, offering buyers advantageous deals in the market. Here’s an exclusive look at the top 10 homes that fetched prices notably lower than their initial asking rates.

The homes outlined in the list below consist of different types of property: terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses and flats. Their deeds were formally recorded with the Land Registry during the month of October, even if the transactions were prior to this month.

26 Pretoria Avenue

10. £15,000 (11%) below asking – terraced house on Pretoria Avenue

Listed at £140,000, this detached house at Pretoria Avenue in the NE61 postcode area settled at £125,000 after six months and 27 days on the market, reflecting a 11% price reduction. Spanning 969 sqft, the property’s price per sqft was £129. Featuring three bedrooms and one bathroom and a C energy efficiency rating, the transfer of ownership was completed on 28 August.

9. £18,000 (10%) below asking – terraced house on Queen Street

A terraced house at Queen Street in the NE61 postcode area also has new owners.
