Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected close to Panguna, Papua New Guinea on May 6

A 5.2 magnitude quake struck near Panguna on Wednesday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook the area at 09:43 UTC (20:43 local time). It occurred at a depth of 104 km with the epicenter roughly 134 km west-northwest of Panguna.
