A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge at midday on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 16:41 UTC (13:41 local time), was centered north of Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
