The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Ozernovskiy at midday on Wednesday.

At 01:05 UTC (12:05 local time), the area was hit by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 46 km, with its epicenter about 148 km east-southeast of Ozernovskiy.
