Update: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude detected close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 21

Monday morning, a 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor jolted the area at 14:37 UTC (01:37 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 170 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
