July 18: Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude registered close to southeast of the Loyalty Islands

LIFOU, Loyalty Islands Province—A 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded close to southeast of the Loyalty Islands Friday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 11:27 UTC (22:27 local time). The epicenter was located southeast of the Loyalty Islands of southeast of the Loyalty Islands, at a depth of 10 km.
