On Wednesday at 2:49 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated fire weather watch valid for Thursday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for North Fork.

Winds are expected to be southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph and relative humidity 10 to 15 percent.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” adds the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
