BELÉN DEPARTMENT, Catamarca Province — A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted close to Antofagasta de la Sierra on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the region at 11:37 UTC (08:37 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter about 69 km east of Antofagasta de la Sierra.
