Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected close to Sinabang, Indonesia on Dec. 9

SIMEULUE REGENCY, Aceh — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake hit close to Sinabang Tuesday afternoon.

At 07:02 UTC (14:02 local time), the region was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 40 km west-northwest of Sinabang.
